Arch rivals Congress and AAP might come under the same Grand Alliance umbrella in their joint bid to keep BJP away from power in the upcoming state assembly polls in the state. This is not a satire. Confused?
It seems to be true with the recent joint decision made by Bihar and Delhi CMs, Nitish Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal of course, that the latter will campaign for the former in Bihar polls 2015.
Nitish had earlier invited Kejriwal which reportedly accepted. Both share a good chemistry even before latter’s ‘India Against Corruption’ was conceptualised.
Long back during the emerging phase of NDA-I’s Arvind Kejriwal visited Nitish and the meeting was fixed by a senior IAS who was then a close aid of Bihar CM besides being a close friend of Kejriwal.
Meanwhile, Indian Express reported on Thursday reported that the Congress top brass in not at all happy with this move of Nitish. For it has been ridiculed by AAP for long. Congress, however, being in an already decimated state in Bihar is not even the position of even uttering an iota.
State Congress unit too is tight-lipped on the issue and not a single comment was reportedly heard.
Senior Congress Functionary who hails from Bihar Shakeel Ahmed, however, launching a vicious attack on Kejriwal-led Delhi Government said “People of Delhi are thoroughly disappointed by the AAP government as it has not even fulfilled a single promise it made while in run to the elections.
Congress sources, in the meantime, reported that neither of party Supremo Sonia Gandhi nor his son is likely to grace the Alliance’s rally at the sprawling Patna Gandhi Maidan that is scheduled on August 30.
Mocking this, a state BJP functionary pleading anonymity said that “Kejri jis Congress of pani pee pee ke Delhi chunav mein gali diya, Usi ke gathbandhan ka ab Bihar mein prachar karega. Voter sab dekh raha hai ( Kejriwal will now campaign for the same party he ridiculed in Delhi elections. Voters understand everything).”
