Team TrickyScribe: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is set to make history with the launch of the first-ever “Great Indian Coastal Cyclothon” as part of its 56th Raising Day celebrations. Under the powerful theme “Secure Shores, Prosperous India,” this monumental initiative aims to spread awareness about coastal security while highlighting threats such as smuggling of drugs, weapons, and explosives.
6,553 Kms, 11 States, 25 Days – A Test of Grit and Determination
A total of 125 CISF cyclists, including 14 women, will embark on a grueling 6,553-km journey over 25 days, covering 11 coastal states. The expedition will kick off on March 7, 2025, from two starting points:
• Lakhpat, Gujarat (Western Route – 3,775 km)
• Bakkhali, West Bengal (Eastern Route – 2,778 km)
The grand finale will take place on March 31, 2025, at the iconic Swami Vivekananda Memorial in Kanyakumari.
Major Coastal Cities on the Route
The cyclists will pass through key coastal cities, including Mumbai, Goa, Mangalore, Kochi, Haldia, Konark, Vizag, Chennai, and Pondicherry, making stops at prominent locations such as:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will virtually flag off the event from the CISF Regional Training Centre, Thakkolam, Tamil Nadu.
