Thapar University Students Complete the Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship 2016-17

Thapar University, recognized as one of the leading privately managed engineering institutions of the country, proudly announced the completion of the Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship Program 2016 – 17 by their student Saurabh Sharma. The grand event held at the Israel-Asia Centre saw the presence of Ambassador Mark Sofer as keynote speaker. Saurabh, a student of the business school at Thapar University was selected for this fellowship through a gruelling selection process amongst several hundred applicants. The event also had prominent guests including the Israeli and Asian diplomats, friends and supporters of the Israel-Asia Center, trade organizations, journalists and members of Israel’s business and academic communities.

Naresh Bhansali, a student from Thapar University too showcased spectacular performance while doing his internship at Greeneye, an Israel-based research and analytics firm. Both Naresh Bhansali and Saurabh Sharma are completing their Masters in Environmental Studies at Porter School of Environmental Studies (PSES) under an exchange program. Naresh has also volunteered to do his research on the energy monitoring of the PSES green building.
Director, Dr Padma Kumar Nair, LM Thapar School of Management, Thapar University said, “I am extremely happy and proud to see our students doing so well and getting acknowledged. It is satisfying to see that they are both learning a lot and being exposed to many new ideas. They will definitely be an asset to their future workplace and community. I would like to congratulate the faculty along with all our members, whose effort made this achievement possible.”
