Team TrickyScribe: In a strong and resolute address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it unequivocally clear that any dialogue between India and Pakistan will be centered solely around two issues — terrorism and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
“India’s stand has been clear — terror, trade, and talks cannot flow together,” PM Modi declared. “If there will be talks between India and Pakistan, it will only be on terrorism and PoK.”
The Prime Minister’s statement comes at a time when global concern about tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors is high, following recent escalations.
‘Shaanti ka Maarg bhi Shakti se Hokar Jaata Hai’
Referring to the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, PM Modi invoked Lord Buddha’s teachings of peace but underlined the necessity of strength.
“Lord Buddha showed us the path of peace. ‘Shaanti ka maarg bhi Shakti se hokar jaata hai’ (The path of peace also passes through strength),” Modi said, emphasizing that India’s commitment to peace does not mean weakness.
Exposing Pakistan’s State-Sponsored Terrorism
PM Modi highlighted the blatant proof of Pakistan’s involvement in state-sponsored terrorism.
“The world has seen the dirty truth of Pakistan when high-ranked officers of the Army bid farewell to slain terrorists,” he said. “There cannot be a bigger proof of state-sponsored terrorism.”
He further stated that no “nuclear blackmail” would be tolerated anymore, drawing a firm red line for Islamabad.
Operation Sindoor: A Pledge of Justice
Describing India’s recent military actions, PM Modi spoke about Operation Sindoor, calling it not just a mission but a people’s movement.
“Operation Sindoor is a reflection of the feelings of millions of Indians. It is an unbroken pledge of justice,” the Prime Minister said, referring to the precise strikes carried out on terrorist sites deep inside Pakistan on the night of May 6 and the morning of May 7.
According to Modi, terrorist strongholds like Bahawalpur and Muridke — termed as “universities of global terrorism” — were directly linked to major terror attacks worldwide, including 9/11.
Missiles, Drones and a Shaken Enemy
Revealing details of the attacks, PM Modi said,
“When Indian missiles and drones attacked those sites in Pakistan, it was not just the buildings of terrorist organisations that were targeted; their courage was also shattered.”
He added that the Indian Armed Forces had been given full freedom to respond decisively, vowing that the consequences of harming India’s daughters and mothers would be severe.
“Every terrorist and every terror organisation now knows ‘ki hamari behno, betiyo ke maathe se sindoor hatane ka anjaam kya hota hai’,” he asserted.
“We Have Just Paused Our Strikes”: Modi Warns Pakistan
Making it clear that India’s military response was not over, PM Modi said,
“We have just paused our attacks on the terrorist and military sites of Pakistan.”
The Prime Minister saluted the capability, patience, and professionalism of India’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists who made the successful operations possible.
Global Relief: Trump Credits His Team for Averting a Nuclear War
Amid rising fears of a larger conflict, US President Donald Trump acknowledged the gravity of the India-Pakistan standoff. Speaking publicly, Trump stated,
Trump’s remarks underline just how close the region had come to a catastrophe — a scenario averted through intense back-channel diplomacy and firm action.
“We stopped a nuclear conflict. I think it could have been a bad nuclear war. Millions of people could have been killed. I also want to thank VP JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their work.”
